Chef Peter Carey brings a wealth of experience and a passion for locally sourced ingredients to Stonefield Castle. With a background in renowned Michelin Star restaurants across the UK, Chef Carey's culinary journey has led him back to his roots at Stonefield Castle. After honing his skills in prestigious Michelin Star establishments, Chef Carey has returned to Stonefield Castle with a deep appreciation for the abundance of local seafood and produce available right on our doorstep. His culinary philosophy revolves around showcasing the best of Scotland's larder, from the pristine seafood sourced from Loch Fyne to the treasures foraged on our expansive 60-acre estate.

With stunning views of the gardens and Loch Fyne creating a unique dining environment that’s perfect for any occasion – from a romantic dinner for two to a celebratory meal with family and friends.
Our Menu
At Barmore Bistro, we pride ourselves on using the freshest local ingredients. Our menu features a variety of dishes that showcase the best of Scottish cuisine, including:
- Starters: Indulge with a Chorizo, Stornoway Black Pudding and Apple Scotch Egg, or our creamy Cullen skink made with the finest smoked haddock.
- Mains: Enjoy hearty mains like our Homemade Shortcrust Pastry Steak and Loch Fyne Ale Pie or Loch Fyne King Scallops and Lemongrass Skewers
- Desserts: Treat yourself to our amazing Barmore Bistro Sticky Toffee Pudding or White Chocolate, Raspberry and Whisky Trifle

Welcome to our 1837 Bar at Stonefield Castle, a haven for both whisky connoisseurs and cocktail aficionados. Nestled within our historic walls, our bar offers an extensive selection of malt whisky alongside expertly crafted cocktails. Whether you're exploring our diverse range of whisky or indulging in one of our artisanal cocktails, our knowledgeable staff are on hand to guide you through your tasting journey. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our bar provides the perfect setting to relax, unwind, and enjoy the finer things in life.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea is served in the drawing room from 12 noon to 5pm in a charming space that exudes elegance and comfort. Featuring a high ceiling, inviting fireplace, and bay doors leading out to the patio, the drawing room provides the perfect setting for a leisurely afternoon indulgence. Relax in the cozy ambiance as you savour a delightful array of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, decadent cakes, and pastries, all accompanied by a selection of fine teas. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply treating yourself to a moment of luxury, our drawing room offers a serene escape where you can unwind and enjoy the timeless tradition of afternoon tea.
