Dog Friendly

Your Dog-Friendly Retreat at Stonefield Castle 🏰🐾

We understand that your furry friends are part of the family, which is why Stonefield Castle is the perfect getaway for you and your four-legged companions to relax and create cherished memories together. With over 60 acres of grounds to explore, including Barmore Island accessible via our non-tidal causeway, and Loch Fyne for a refreshing swim, we truly are a doggy paradise. At the castle entrance, you'll find fluffy towels to clean those muddy paws, ensuring your pups stay pampered throughout their stay.

Not only are our grounds a haven for dogs, but the castle itself welcomes them with open arms. Your canine companions are welcome in all, but one area of the hotel, including our Library, Drawing Room, and even lounging next to the log fire in the lobby, with the only exception being Barmore Bistro. Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere.

Dine

Treat your beloved canine companions to a dining experience in our bar, lounge, drawig room or terrace where they can join you at the table.

Breakfast can also be served in the bar, ensuring that every member of the family can enjoy breakfast together! We even extend our hospitality to furry family members with a special treat: sausages for your beloved pups

For a more intimate dining experience, we also offer private dining options.

Stay

We kindly request that you don't leave your dog alone in your room. If you must leave them unattended whilst you are in the hotel, please inform us the front desk. Your room will not be serviced if your dog has been left unattended. While we understand that your dog may enjoy cuddles on the bed and sofa, please be aware that you may be liable for any damage caused.

When walking around the hotel, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead and do not disturb other guests.

There is a supplement of £25 per dog per stay, with the exception of assistance dogs, for which there is no charge.

Please let us know in advance if you are brining your canine compainion so we can have the room all ready for your dog's arrival.

Beyond our grounds, Argyll offers a wealth of activities, from beautiful beaches to forest walks and visitor attractions like Inverary Jail.

Keep an eye on our social media channels and blog section to stay updated on the adventures of our resident Bernese Mountain Dogs, Lady and Mac and discover new places to explore during your stay with us.

Guests Comments

"Wow! What a find! A superb hotel with very good grounds and rooms. The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly. We had a loch view room which was beautiful. The icing on the cake was the fact that our dog Harris was made very welcome. This really is a dog-friendly place, and we will be back.
